Appeal from a vegetarian on Thanksgiving, aka my annual rant

If you are eating turkey today, you have probably already stuck it in the oven, so it's a bit late for me to appeal to skip the turkey this year. BUT, you should know that birds are not covered by the Humane Methods of Slaughter Act that (supposedly) protects other livestock animals from a painful and cruel death. If you can't live without poultry, please at least support proper and humane treatment for the animals that are slaughtered. You can find out how here.
