Some of these struck me as quite odd and I wonder which question pointed the program that way- animal trainer? zoo keeper? fitness instructor? Most of the "ists" and science jobs sound pretty reasonable, though. Before I went in and added education level, I also had housekeeper in my list!
In other news, I have taken over some tasks from my grad student because we are working with some data that requires a new software package. S/he has plenty of other things to keep busy for the project, though. I also decided that I needed to download mass quantities of other data and process them in ways that is really taxing my home computer (but I really don't want to go do it at school, since it requires lots of waiting). I queued up four processes to run overnight and only two have finished! I quadrupled my computer's memory yesterday (I only had 1 GB!) However, that doesn't change the processing speed- it just means that my computer won't crash when I have too many programs running at once. I have been doing other things while it runs, like grading and class stuff. sigh.
ETA: I'm at school now checking to see if my *new* Windows Vista machine can process these damn data faster... I'll let you know

I've heard not-so-good things about Vista. How's it working for you?
I haven't really had problems with it yet, but I haven't really worked here in the office that much yet! I didn't switch to Office 2007, because I find it too annoying and different from the last version (why do they always have to do that?) I kind of wish I had stuck with XP for now, but so far don't see any reason to switch back. My U doesn't officially support it yet, so that's not the best either! I blame H, because he talked me into Vista! Once Service Pack One is released I'm sure it will be better, but I've heard that won't happen for a while.
