We're in Oregon, now. Yesterday we were in Portland for the Rose Festival Parade. D and I watched that while H got lost in Powell's City of Books (what an awesome store that is!)

I was told by some locals that all floats have to be decorated with natural materials (seeds, plants, flowers, etc.) There was another float with potatoes used as rocks. We also hit the Columbia Sportswear Store, where we discovered that Oregon has NO SALES TAX. More pictures later!
