Hectic day that had nothing to do with work

Those of you who know me on Facebook, may have followed my saga from yesterday about getting a coffee that was NOT decaf as I ordered last night. I don't drink regular coffee any more (I'll occasionally have soda or iced tea, but not regular coffee drinks). Around 6:30 PM yesterday, I ordered a very yummy decaf  Andes Mint Cooler from Caribou and double-checked when I picked it up. "This is decaf, right" "Yeah." Well, within an hour or so, I was talking a mile a minute and feeling very jittery. Clearly, they did not make me a decaf. The biggest problem with this is that I had to get up early to take D to a doctor's appointment. I couldn't sleep until about 2:00, then got up at 7:00. Thanks a lot, Caribou barista.

At D's appointment, they ended up giving her two booster vaccines and she's been really tired and not hungry all day. Poor thing. On the way home from the appointment, I got a call that someone wanted to show our house today- our first showing yet- so I said sure. This gave us 2.5 hours to mow and trim the lawn (H), vacuum (me), straighten up (me), dust (me), do minor staging, like putting away family pictures (me). We left just before they were supposed to show up, but neither of us had time to shower first. When I got back, I had to leave for a dermatologist appointment (45 minutes from here). I managed to squeeze in a quick shower, then raced over for my annual mole check. This was only my second visit to this office and I had more time to examine the waiting room today. Does anyone else think this is very odd decor for a doctor's office waiting room?

They decided to take a small biopsy from one mole on my stomach, so of course, I broke out in a cold sweat and had to lie down for a while afterward. I hope they don't find anything. It's extremely itchy now and I haven't looked under the bandage yet. D is doing OK here, but not quite herself. I am feeling tired and suspect I'll be in bed early today. Doh! I just realized that I probably shouldn't take a bath tonight- darn!

yeah, no bath tonight. But some deep breathing maybe? you've had quite the day. Hope the mole results come out clear!

Thanks, Mel! I'm not too worried and I tend to be a BIG worrier. She didn't even insist on the biopsy- she said she wanted to check to make sure it isn't PRE-cancerous, but also offered to just take a picture when I looked nervous about the biopsy. I won't hear for two weeks!

I hope all is well with the mole. Sounds like she's just being extra cautious.

Yes, that is weird decor for a Dr's office but I have to say I'm laughing my ass off that you thought to take pictures to share. :)

I used my phone! That's why the quality is poor. I remembered thinking it was odd last year, so this time I got some evidence!

Odd indeed... it sort of looks like a furniture store that specializes on chairs or something ;)

Hope the mole results are ok :) Breathe! :)

You know, one of the things Homey and I did when we were selling our house was to just have a lawn service come by every week or four days. It made life easier, and it always looked nice.

that looks weirdly like the waiting room of the ob/gyn office I used when I had my first. And I used to sit there and think, what the hell is up with the decor in here?

I hope your results are good. better to be cautious. :)

The dermatologist office that we have to drive an hour to visit here (!) is full of catalogs to buy racehorses and racehorse accessories. Real ones.

Weird.

Hope everything comes back fine!
And the decor is odd indeed...
