New blog name?

OK, everyone. I have an assignment for you. I need to think of a NEW name for this blog. I am not officially an Associate Professor until July 1st, but I have been "granted tenure" (it's in our University newspaper and everything), so I'm not really "an untenured college professor" any more. I will likely leave the URL the way it is, but I would like to change the name. This blog is still a bit of a source of procrastination for me, but really has become more of a fun writing outlet, so I'm not sure that the procrastination theme really still holds. But what do you think? What name would encompass the sort of things I write about here?

How about Deadwood Blog? Congratulations from a recently tenured lurker! The late writer Ann Imbrie wrote a beautiful and bittersweet passage on getting tenure in her book Spoken in Darkness. I typed it up recently - let me know if you'd like me to send it to you.

That sounds interesting, klk. If you get a chance, please send it. Thanks! And thanks for de-lurking (sort of)!

How about "DailyKos"? It might help your traffic rates.

How about "what a tenured professor gets to do"

Congrats - and I like Mommyprof's idea :)

Thanks, everyone! I haven't had too many ideas, although this morning I was thinking something like "Whew!" or "A big sigh of relief". I should really try to be more creative, but you can see how well that worked for my family pseudonyms (D & H? pretty sad).

I was going to suggest what Mommyprof did!

What do you think of "Living the tenured life"? Is it too braggy? I guess it isn't too far off from Mommy/Prof's idea- I like that one, too, especially since it doesn't change the name too much.

What about something that combines the two or three top labels of what you write about? They were blogging (82)
day-to-day (70)
academia (61)

"BD2DAY: Now, With Tenure!"

You could have a little asterisk that explains what the vanity plate means.

That's kinda funny.
